Nimrod class light destroyer

The Nimrod class of light destroyers represent a milestone in the Human Navy. As the first ship designed specifically for combat operations and nothing else.

It's design is straightforward. Rugged, blocky geometric shapes make out its unibody alloy hull, maximizing hull strength and minimizing undue stress being put upon any one point.

Its compact design allows a multitude of weapons to be mounted in its chassis, giving it a total weapons loadout rivalling that of the titanic Krakatoa class of destroyers even though the Nimrod is much lighter in mass.

While the size of weapons onboard the Nimrod is much smaller than heavier ships, technological advancement has allowed little difference in total energy output from its weapons.
